As your boat glides easily on the ocean, you can be amazed by colourful fish, sea turtles, dolphins, and beautiful l coral formations. The trip is a real feast for the eyes, body and soul. The Ste Anne Marine Park has one of the largest areas of sea grass of the granitic islands where green hawksbill turtles and bottle nose dolphins are often found. Ste Anne Island is where the first human settlement occurred in Seychelles in 1770, away from the once crocodile-infested swamps on Mahé. St Anne was once a whaling station and was then used as a base for the British Royal Marines as a defence for Victoria Harbour during the Second World War. Continue your adventure with a visit to Moyenne Island, steeped in pirate legends and mystery. As you walk its forested trails, you'll hear stories of hidden treasure and encounter the island’s free-roaming giant land tortoises. A marine sanctuary since the 1970s, Moyenne is the legacy of Brendon Grimshaw, a former newspaper editor from Yorkshire, England, who lived alone on the island until his passing in 2012. His passion for conservation transformed Moyenne into a lush haven of biodiversity. During your visit, explore Grimshaw’s home, view the artifacts from his treasure digs, and see the mysterious pirate graves said to date back centuries. A hike around the island offers stunning ocean views and peaceful moments immersed in nature. The tour continues with a scenic boat ride through the Ste Anne Marine Park, stopping at Long Island and Round Island — once used as a leper colony — and ending at Cerf Island, known for its coral restoration programs and pristine beaches. Relax, swim, and soak in the beauty before heading back to Mahé. This trip is a true celebration of Seychelles’ natural wonders, history, and marine conservation — a memory you'll treasure forever.
