Service Description

This trail runs from 'Dan Zil', close to 'La Scala' Restaurant, to the famous Anse Major land mark at the foot of Morne Seychellois. The walk traverses uneven paths intermingled with granitic boulders and sparse vegetation. The one and a half hour trip goes past the Batman Studio where you will get up close and personal with Seychelles fruit bats or flying foxes. These beautiful creatures are a marvel to see and learn about. From the Bat Studio, continue the trek on the rocky path and be awestruck by the sensational view of the Bay of Beau Vallon and the imposing lush tropical vegetation of Morne Seychellois. As you continue your walk, allow your senses to come alive with the sounds of birds chirping in the forest and the waves crashing on the rocks below. At the end of the trail, you will be rewarded, the sight of a large powdery white sandy beach separated by granitic boulders that is typical of the location. Anse Major, once known for its fruit cultivation, is now famous with day trippers who seek adventure. Atop the hill are some ruins of its economic significance. The place is a snorkeler's paradise with its abundant sea life. It is a great location for those seeking relaxation and seclusion in Seychelles.
